Woodland branches

walking very much in the raw cold today. Birds incredible busy trying to find the food to keep them warm and well. More pheasants today raising alarm , thinking about their nesting sites , there will be so many more nests this year with the cancellation of the shooting season. Will there be more nests? The imported pheasants for shooting hopefully instinctively know all about nesting , or do they.?
seeing no one on my walk , all very still. Lots of feathers in patches here and there, the fox has been busy over night.

dew on spiders web.
woodland branches rustle
stand still......quietly listen.
Crows caw regardless.
