Painting today

by Painting today - 17:13 on 12 March 2021

inspired to paint today by the high winds playing havoc with the jasmine against the shed. The sycamores across the field are swaying alarmingly , how the crows, nests remain in place is a mystery. Looking at old painting and repainting some works adding greater tone and colour. Also using techniques recently learned, that is the best of painting you are always learning something new.

Finished my first little Haiku poetry book yesterday, really pleased with it as it’s my first go at Haiku. It’s called ‘Nature Haiku’ inspired by being out of the field and woodland by the house. It had also made me really think about the words I use to portray the image in my mind. The book will be available at the Open Studio here when .....and if..... we Open in April. Hope to paint again tomorrow on some new work conveying Spring light.
